Shoreline Hand-Knotted Wool Rug

Price range: $70.00 through $760.00

Hand-knotted wool in oatmeal and faded indigo, woven on traditional looms.

SKU: N/A Category:

Our Shoreline rug is hand-knotted from long-staple wool by weavers who have worked the same looms for three generations. The oatmeal ground is left undyed — the faint variation you see across the pile is the natural colour of the fleece, not a print — and the faded indigo banding is dyed in small batches so no two runs match exactly. A hand-knotted rug of this density takes several weeks on the loom, and it is built to be walked on for decades rather than replaced. The low pile suits hallways, kitchens and rooms that open onto the garden, and it takes a beating from sand and salt without showing it. Each rug carries our woven mark at the corner. Rotate every six months for even wear, and vacuum without a beater bar.
