A chair built for reading in rather than looking at. The frame is kiln-dried hardwood with eight-way hand-tied springs, and the seat cushion is feather-wrapped foam so it holds its shape without feeling hard. The slipcover is washed oatmeal linen, cut loose and slightly long on purpose — it is meant to relax and crease, not to sit tight like upholstery. Every cover comes off and goes in the machine, which is the entire point if you have children, dogs or a house near the sea. Spare covers can be ordered separately at any time. A small debossed leather tag carrying our mark is stitched low on the skirt. Delivered fully assembled.
